The Mothership Meets the Metaverse - February 26th, 2023

This event is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the legacy of Funk music and its ties to technology and Afrofuturism. We'll feature performances from the True Funk and that New Funk from our real funk artists passing the mantle on to the next generation, the kids. We offer three unique ways to experience the event: in-person, televised worldwide, and virtual in the Metaverse.

Zack Roberson, Nappy Head Funk Army (NHFA), playing the sounds inspired by the greats of the P-funk era like: NHFA is a True Funk band from the New Funk World, Keeping with the vibe of the Masters of Funk such as James Brown, JIMI Hendrix, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Betty Davis, Prince,Sly Stone,Gap Band, Mothers Finest,Ohio Players .

TonNY CaMM and the New Funk Allstars bring the funk and the flavor with influences from legends like James Brown, Kool & The Gang, A Taste of Honey, K.C. and The Sunshine Band, Prince, The Time, Earth, Wind & Fire, Cameo, and more....with a special tribute to George Clinton, & Parliament/Funkadelic

Our Why: "Funkin is a lifestyle, if you got Funk you got style." We are doing this to make sure that the legacy and power of the funk is passed on to the next generation by curating a historical event and infusing history onto the blockchain. In addition to having a good time, we are passing it on to a new generation of Future Funkers.

This event supports kids in technology; a portion of the proceeds will go to the Aisymmetry Youth Group of Durham. Their mission is to help students realize the value of essential STEEM skills through our robotic coding, game design and designed thinking session. We're adding a little bit of funk to the syllabus. Expect to see cyber robots programmed with the flavor of Funk.

June "Fable Moon" Sadler is our Director and running point on the preservation of Funk legacy with visual representation. Documentaries will be created from the event and streamed worldwide across various networks. Finally some of the footage will be locked into the immutable blockchain to retain the experience forever.
